Glam in Gotham Small Biz Sales Picks
For many years, my sister in law and I had our Thanksgiving holiday tradition of going to the Jersey Shore Premium Outlets at Midnight. Well, as the years progressed, Midnight turned into 10:30pm which turned into 9:00pm which turned into 8pm, which turned into… running over to the outlets for recon and doing all our shopping on Wednesday. Now in 2020, with retail being one of the hardest hit industries by the COVID pandemic and people’s household incomes being greatly impacted, it’s particularly important that if we are going to shop, we do so with thought and deliberation. Though I am fan of many box chains like J.Crew, Loft, and Kate Spade, this year, I’m going to be promoting only small businesses, particularly women and minority owned. Many of these small businesses are holding on through sheer determination, and can really use your support. Some are having larger Black Friday sales than others, but I think it’s really important to support wherever and however we can. It is also important to remember that these brands are mostly very small, and therefore you won’t see large markdowns like with big box stores, but these discounts are also rarely offered, so I did a roundup.
Not all of these brands are on Reward Style (ie. I can’t make a product carousel for everyone), but please check them all out if you can! These are all brands I know and love, and I hope that you’ll treasure what you find just as much as I do!
